The process.com.android.vending error is mostly found on non-rooted Android phones. This is because they are hosted by the Google Android platform which limits user’s control on the device and also restricts users to make any modifications to the Google files.

The user then won’t be able to download and install the app from the Play Store, it will be stopped and removed from the task queue with the error com.android.vending on the screen.
This error happens only on non-rooted Android phones and is unlikely to happen on a rooted device. Because the rooted phones have access to their Android device fully, they can change Google Applications anytime without getting any error message.
