Almost all the latest Samsung smartphones support this feature excluding those which are not 4g enabled. There are also a few old Samsung smartphones that support VoLTE icon Samsung feature for high-quality voice and video calls but the feature requires your manual push for activation.
Enabling VoLTE icon Samsung
If your smartphone doesn’t show VoLTE icon Samsung at the status bar, follow the steps given below to enable it using the device settings, provided the device should be VoLTE enabled (You can check that on the Smartphone box or by using Phone Check and Test) and your network connection should be 4g or above.
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Connections or Network & Internet.
3. Now tap on Voice Networks or Mobile Networks.
4. Turn the VoLTE Calls toggle to on.
5. Now, tap on the LTE-enabled sim card’s Network Mode option and then select either LTE/2G/3G (auto connect) or LTE only.
6. That’s it, now the VoLTE icon Samsung should appear at the status bar. If it didn’t appear on the status bar restart your phone and check again.
Removing the VoLTE icon Samsung
If your Samsung or any other Android smartphone is 4g enabled and you also have a 4g LTE network, then the VoLTE icon appears at the status bar by default for making and receiving calls over LTE.
Removing the VoLTE icon Samsung is not possible when you have 4g network enabled. The only way to remove the VoLTE icon on your Samsung smartphone is by changing the network settings from 4G to 3G or 2G. But we don’t recommend doing this as this will limit your network speed to 3G and you won’t be able to make or receive high-quality calls over LTE. Here’s how you can remove the VoLTE icon Samsung:
1. Open Settings on your Samsung smartphone.
2. Tap on Connections or Network & Internet.
3. Now, tap on Mobile Networks and then tap on Network Mode of the LTE-enabled sim card.
4. Once you tap on Network Mode, select 3G/2G (auto connect) .
5. That’s it, now VoLTE icon Samsung should disappear from the status bar.
